"Au Chant du Coq" is located in a small village called Paizay-le-Tort, a few kilometres away from the town of Melle. It is about 460 km/285 miles away from Paris.

Here are a few options to get to our gîte from Great Britain:

• By Eurostar/TGV:
  You can take the Eurostar from London to Paris. Once in Paris, take the TGV from the train station Gare Montparnasse to Poitiers, Saint-Maixent or Niort. You can rent a car on your arrival in these towns.
• By motorway:
  From Paris: take the motorway A10 Paris-Bordeaux; leave the A10 at exit 30 (Poitiers-Sud), take the road N150 Angoulème-Limoges and then follow the D950 to Lusignan/Melle/St-Jean d’Angély.
  From Nantes: take the motorway A83 Nantes-Niort to the exit 11 (Niort Vouillé) and follow the signs for Melle/Limoges (D948).
  From Bordeaux : take the motorway A10 Bordeaux-Paris, Exit Saint-Jean d'Angély, take the road D950 to Poitiers.
  
  

  By plane:
  You can fly to La Rochelle or Poitiers with different low-cost companies such as Ryan Air,EasyJet or Jet2. You can rent a car from these airports. You can also fly from many different British airports to Paris, Nantes or Bordeaux; from there you can take the train.
